AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!!
Great guide, photographer, weather whisperer, and all around person. The Lofoten Islands are difficult for outsiders. Dave knows the “secret” locations, the best stops, the roads, the food, and the locals. Avoid the pain!, book with Dave and be happy like me ! You only live once! Do it!

I’ve been on 4 different northern lights hunting tours over the course of the past two weeks and Dave is definitely THE BEST guide. He replied very quickly when we sought clarification via email, and chasing the northern lights with him was exciting - He knew the best spots in Lofoten Islands which we hopped over to throughout the 3-hr+ drive, very knowledgeable on the science behind the lights, and takes great photos for us!

Thank you, Dave, for the amazing northern lights hunt despite challenging weather. It’s an experience we won’t forget 🙂

My wife and I just returned from a five-day photographic workshop based in Svolvaer. Dave from Lofoten Insight was the tour guide and was awesome! Took us to all the iconic photographic sites, and well as some even better of the beaten path sites. We even caught a little Northern Lights during the summer! Learned alot from him about northern lights, Norway, the history of Lofoten and Dave Williams always delivers! Dave made our Lofoten trip unforgettable with his extensive Aurora knowledge, he explained its science clearly and passionately. His fantastic photography skills meant that when the Aurora did show, he was able to capture the unreal experience for us! This was a bucket list moment for us, and Dave’s passion for Lofoten and the Aurora made the experience even more memorable. He also organised for us to see reindeer and experience the Sami culture. Would highly recommend!!
