Incredible hiking experience to Preikestolen! Erlend was a super knowledgeable guide that took us to the summit in a very friendly and safe way. Together with his dog Balder we had a wonderful time. Don’t hesitate to book their services if you want to have a full enjoyable experience. Lunch was also perfect! Thank you again

An amazing day out! We did a winter (2 days before Xmas) classic hike with Stephan and Erland (and his border collie!) with our family (2 adults and 3 kids). It was fantastic - luckily the weather was helpful on this day: bright sunshine although cold. Not bad for winter though. Nice pickup at hotel, good vans for transport and above all, the best two guides ever. Very professional and polite and totally providing us the feeling we were their first ‘clients’. They really did an effort to make us feel ‘at home’. The total package was just great. And o yes, the views from the top were magnificent but that is beyond the control of Stephan and Erland…. 😜

We hiked to preikestolen with our guide Erlend and, after he made sure we were OK with it, his super cute dog Baba. On the prettiest photo spots, Baba would sit up, paws in the air, giving us a unique photo with the fjord in the background. Erlend was fun, informative, and knowledgeable, and he tended to our needs very well. He provided high quality cramp-on spikes, hiking poles, and warm berry juice when we arrived at Preikestolen, a unique and tasty experience. This hike made beautiful memories for us, and presented stunning views along the way. I am very grateful to have had this experience.

10 stars! We can't say enough about how wonderful our experience with Erlend (and his amazing pup Balder) was. We did back to back hikes. Kjeragbolten one day and Preikestolen the next. I won't spoil the secret, but Erlend has a way to hike and miss 99% of the crowds, which made for a really special experience. Erlend was recommended by a friend who hiked with him last summer, and we were fortunate to be able to book him for our group of 4. If you really want a peaceful hike, this is the way yo go!! Thank you again Erlend, Balder and Explorer Lysefjorden!

It was an amazing experience and I want to share it with all the people that are thinking to do this hike.Please do not hesitate to book the Preikestolen hike with Explore Lysefjorden!!!
We were a small group of people that wanted to do the sunrise hike.They came to pick us up exactly on time ,we had a car ride for about 40 minutes and our guide Erlend was extremely friendly and made us all feel comfortable.He has an amazing dog that followed as through the hike and we all loved him!His nickname is Baba.
The sunrise hike is amazing because it feels more mysterious and calm at the same time and the scenery changes hour by hour.We had head lamps that helped us during the first hour of hiking but to be honest after that we didn’t use them at all.As you go through the colours of the scenery around you are amazing and Erlend took some beautiful photos for us.Finally when we reached the Preikestolen it was the time that the sun was rising so we saw all this beauty from the beginning and Erlend gave us snacks and hot berry juice that we really enjoyed!We took breath taking pictures ,we saw a marriage proposal ,enjoy the morning sun with the few people that were there at that time (that’s another privilege of the sunrise hike )and started to go back.We enjoy the nature with the morning light and we had a delicious breakfast provided with the hike at the Preikestolen base Camp with an amazing view at the fjord!
It was an experience that I will always remember and I thank Erlend ,Baba and Explore Lysefjorden for that.It was my second hike (first was reinebringen but I find Preikestolen more easy and interesting )
SUNRISE HIKE IS THE BEST!Weather makes a big impact to the hike as well!We were extremely lucky with that!So check the weather forecast and if you have time and days to spend choose the best weather option .
Enjoy hiking in Norway because is the best!

Great experience hiking in the snow at Preikestolen with our lovely and helpful guide Erlend and Ivan, and Erlend’s dog Balder!! The guides was sharing lot of interesting information along the hike and the drive, so we get to know the country a lot more 🙂 thank you all for having us and we are looking forward to explore more hikes at Norway in the future! This was definitely a memorable experience.

We did the Preikenstolen sunrise hike last April’22 and it was FANTASTIC thanks to our guide Erlend and his adorable dog Balder! Erlend is very accommodating, informative and friendly. Also he is a great photographer, thank you for the amazing photos! We had an amazing time with you guys 😊 Hope to see you again soon and hike with you again. Keep up the great job! I cannot recommend this tour enough. It was probably the best hiking experience of my life. I was extremely lucky to have been the only person on this tour! This means that they don't cancel on you for low interest on a certain day. It was the day after my birthday too, plus the weather consisted of blue skies, full sun and pretty much zero wind. I felt like the luckiest person alive! The tour itself was made extra special by Erland who made me feel very welcomed, his manner was polite and very friendly. We were laughing from start to finish more or less! His knowledge of the hike and surrounding things of Norway was super impressive. We reached the summit before the crowds of tourists and after other locals who had made it up earlier than us, this meant we got the place to ourselves for quite a good amount of time. It also helped that Erland was more than happy to go to the best spots for taking good angle photographs meaning you have epic images for a lifetime to look back on. Erland, thank you so much for everything!
