It was directly on the bike path and the seaweed store intrigued us as well as their slogan “Weed that’s good for you”.
The woman serving was very friendly and helpful. She explained the different seaweed based products. You are able to taste them before you buy. There is a surprisingly large number of ways that seaweed can be used.
Well worth a quick stop.
There is both indoor and outside seating available if you want a coffee and some food.

An extremely lovely shop selling local seaweed products by woman owners! Staff was extremely helpful and taught us about seaweed harvesting. Highly recommend right off the main road.

On my bicycling trip I was getting ready for the saddest of my struggle meals: Knekkebrød with plain white Tofu. It was a long day cycling and I didn't have the time and energy for food preperation, or looking for something proper to eat. Don't judge me, or do, I don't care.

Just as I was getting ready to force down my macros, I remembered that I had bought a Wok & Greens spicepack at Lofoten Seaweed earlier that day. I put on a generous amount in the hopes to make my tofu more paletable. I was blown away. It did not only taste okay, it tasted amazing. Reseasoning as needed, I spooned it straight out of the pack. The food was accompanied by filtered water with the taste of mud, but I couldn't have been any happier.

Struggle meal turned into something genuinely enjoyable with a minimum amount of effort.

Picture is with nori, but as told, I opted for the spicepack instead. Was too busy wolfing down my food to take another picture.

Mein Geheimtipp auf den Lofoten. Das Geschäft ist ein MUSS für Genießer und Köche aus Leidenschaft!
Ich war dort im Juni 2024 einkaufen, weil ich auf der Suche nach einem sinnvollen und gesundem Mitbringsel von den Lofoten war.
Ein sehr schöner und gemütlicher Shop neben der Hauptstraße !
Herrliche Produkte aus Meeresalgen - man kann die angebotenen Produkte sehen, riechen, schmecken/ probieren! 😋
Sehr nette Beratung , sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service! Obendrein gibt es Infovideos und eine kleine gemütliche
Sitzecke, in der man Tee und Kaffee trinken kann.
Kaffee , Tee sowie den köstlichen „Energieriegel“ kann ich nur empfehlen😋
Wir hatten eine „sinnliche“ und wunderbare „Regenpause“ . Vielen Dank für den behaglichen Aufenthalt!
Gewürze sind weiterhin im Einsatz- ob im Quark, Joghurt, Creme fraiche,
über Salat, Gemüse, Fisch - einfach TOP!

Incredible flavor seaweed seasoning, especially the smoked one which made only from seaweed. Worth looking around and bring some seaweed home from the Lofoten.

Lofoten Seaweed is a wonderful little store with a unique concept and great products. The selection is diverse – from snacks and seasonings to skincare – and everything we tried was genuinely tasty and high quality.

What made the experience even better was the friendly and knowledgeable staff. They took the time to explain the products, offer samples, and share background about the local seaweed harvesting. You can tell they’re passionate about what they do.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area – great flavors, great people, and a really cool local story behind it all!

Owner was super friendly and gave us a little tour of the products. They're really passionate about what they do and they really cater to the Norwegian audience who may not be familiar with seaweed.

My only complaint is that I wish there were more products for seaweed enthusiasts. For example, seaweed burgers or seaweed-only snacks.

Otherwise, they also have a cute restaurant here that serves seaweed-embedded foods in the evening. Booking required because they don't waste anything.

Definitely a must check out if you pass by! You can also find their products in other stores in Lofoten.

Charming store with delicious products and the most incredible smelling soap, lotion, etc. Lovely staff that gave us a full run-down of each product and how to use them. Highly recommend stopping in and supporting local!
